NEWS

Particularly during winter months, the Vanguard Way is liable to flooding beside the River Cuckmere and in low lying coastal areas.  And, the coastal stretch from Cuckmere Haven to Newhaven Harbour Station can be affected by high winds.

For the latest news on the Vanguard Way you should also look at our blog at vanguardwayblog.blogspot.co.uk.
Please remember that bus routes can often change at short notice, so you should check on-line or by phone before travelling if you are relying on a particular bus.  Similarly, pubs may change their name or close with little notice.  For example, we have recently heard that the White Horse at Holtye Common has closed (section 4/G).
If you have a particular question or comment on the route description or information about pub closures email
colin@vanguardway.org.uk.  Similarly, for questions or comments on signage, the condition of paths, obstructions, &c email graham@vanguardway.org.uk.

You can download a guide to the Flora, Fauna & Geology of the route by clicking here.

Check the Major Route Alterations button for information about diversions and path problems.

If you would like to receive a copy of the Vanguard Way Annual Review for 2016, please email colin@vanguardway.org.uk.
